Knowing, Sharing, Celebrating Christ

At St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church we proclaim and live the Gospel of God's love and grace through Jesus Christ by offering creative opportunities and activities for worshiping, learning, witnessing, supporting and serving.  We are a congregation where everyone is welcome.  We provide thoughtful services, peaceful refuge, lively coffee hours, great music, faithful and faith-based education, kindness, fellowship and friendship.  St. Luke is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), located within the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod (SEPA).

Our History

The congregation was founded in 1896 as a Sunday School in Gilbertsville and organized as a congregation in 1922.  For many years St. Luke shared a pastor with several nearby Lutheran congregations.  In 1959, St. Luke called its first full-time pastor.

Today our congregation is a community partner, hosting many local groups including the

Community Clothing Rack and Scouts.

Members of St. Luke spearheaded the St. Luke Knolls housing development, a federally-supported project of 40, one-bedroom apartments for senior citizens.
